On April 03, the High Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Italy, Dr. Kader was invited by the Rotary Club Roma Sud Ovest to partecipate in a convivial dinner organized by the President, Dr. Luca De Rosa and others members.
The argument of the evening: "THE ROLE OF KURDISH WOMEN BETWEEN FIGHT AND EMANCIPATION".
The dialogue was been debate like a topic of profound historical, social and international political relevance. In fact, even the Chamber of Deputies, less than a month ago, organized a conference that dealt with the theme of women, in particular the contribution of women in the area with conflict. Often, in the common opinion there are no knowledge of how societies evolve over time. This event has represented a new opportunity for Dr. Kader to introduce the participants to the path of growth that the Kurdish woman has done to, an excellent degree of emancipation.
During the evening, Dr. Kader took the opportunity to remember that next year we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325. First document of the Council that explicitly mentions the role of women in armed conflicts. On the occasion of this important anniversary - continues the High Representative - it is necessary to strengthen the commitment of Italy, Europe and the international community to protect the rights of women and girls, especially in areas characterized by war and instability. "I am very happy that the Rotary Club has promoted a specific reflection on the female role in the Kurdish society - said Dr. Kader - women have taken an enormous path of growth and emancipation and have always been able to ensure an extraordinary added value in national and international crisis prevention and resolution. They must therefore be increasingly involved, at every level, in all sectors ".
In this sense - concludes Dr. Kader - I want to reiterate my personal commitment and that of the Government that I represent for the implementation of the objectives that we have set ourselves in this sense
