The High Representative attend at the ceremony in Ankawa

On Tuesday, June 11th, the High Representative of Regional Government of Kurdistan, Dr. Rezan Kader, attended the funeral room ceremony in the area of Ankawa in Erbil.
Also, S.E Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako I, the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church and dr. Khalid Jamal Albert, General Director of Christian Affairs in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)'s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs were attended.
Dr. Kader was very enthusiastic to be able to partecipate at this event because it represents a significant symbol for all christians who live in Kurdistan. Moreover, the High Representative, during these days, was in Kurdistan because the President Nechirvan Barzani swooned in solemn ceremony.
Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako I, said that he is honored because this project is representing how the catholic church is close to christian people. The structure is very comfortable and hospitable and inside there are two rooms: one is for men and the other one for women. In addition there is a common room where the religious people can celebrate their rituals or prays.
Many times, Dr Kader stressed that the funeral room has a double value: on the one hand it ensures that the rights of all the minorities, no one excluded, are taken into account and anyone can profess his-her creed; on the other hand, the structure, through its dedicated space, is able to give support to those people who have missed their relatives and loved ones.
