On October 10, Mrs. Rezan Kader accompanied the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government Mr. Pshtiwan Sadiq Abdullah Khoshnaw, at the Community of St. Egidio, headquarters located in Rome.
Sant Egidio, is a Christian community born in 1968, on the initiative of Andrea Riccardi, and has become a network of communities present in more than 70 countries around the world thanks to the commitment of many volunteers.
The primary theme of the meeting was the important of peaceful coexistence and with the knowledge that war is the mother of all suffering, the Minister Mr. Pshtiwan Sadiq Abdullah Khoshnaw and Dr. Kader, have expressed all their support in order to spread as much as possible the community message and its activities. So that, the work started by the Community can be spread everywhere. The commitment made by the present parties is to work for peace, to protect it where it is threatened, to help rebuild it, facilitating dialogue and tolerance where it has been lost.
Both Mrs. Kader and the Minister Mr. Pshtiwan Sadiq Abdullah Khoshnaw, believe that working for peace and peaceful coexistence between different religious beliefs is also a responsibility of those who hold institutional roles.
The meeting strengthened the cooperation between the community of S. Egidio and the Kurdistan Region.
